Eligibility & Requirements
India
• Pets must meet basic health standards and be fit to travel, as confirmed by a licensed veterinarian.
• Vaccination records, including rabies vaccination, must be up-to-date and presented at the time of travel.
• Dogs and cats should generally be at least eight weeks old and weaned before travel.
• Operators typically require prior notification during booking to arrange proper in-cabin accommodation for pets.
• Standard documentation includes health certificates and proof of vaccination; operators may request printed or digital copies before departure.
• Operator-specific cleaning fees and safety measures (such as restraint requirements during flight) may apply.
• Pets must have a valid health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian, typically within 10–30 days before travel.
• An international health certificate or pet passport with proof of microchip identification and vaccinations is required for most destinations.
• Mandatory rabies vaccination and, where applicable, specific regional treatments (e.g., tapeworm treatments for UK entry) may be required.
• Some countries require import permits or customs clearance documentation for pets arriving from abroad.
• Age and breed regulations may vary by destination (e.g., minimum age requirements).
